Projecten kenmerken zich door een begin- en een einddatum.
Projecten worden aangemeld door lokale partners Evelien en Kees de Gier in Port au Prince. In overleg wordt besloten een voorgesteld project te gaan financieren. Evelien de Gier houdt in Haïti “de vinger aan de pols” en draagt zorg voor een regelmatige verantwoording.
Vaak is de start van een Haïtiaans project aanleiding om acties te starten in Nederland en hiervoor bij bepaalde doelgroepen extra aandacht te vragen. Zo worden er bijvoorbeeld schoolbankjes in Haïti gemaakt, waarbij de financiering plaatsvindt door acties van scholen in Nederland.
Projecthulp Haïti geeft ook voorlichting op scholen. In overleg met leerkrachten en ouders (commissie) wordt een actieplan opgesteld. Zo kunnen sommige lessen in de week voorafgaand aan de actie in het teken staan van Haïti.
Voor het lager onderwijs wordt een onderscheid gemaakt in onder-, midden- en bovenbouw.
Voor MBO en HBO scholen wordt in overleg een gericht programma gemaakt.
Daarnaast geeft Projecthulp Haïti lezingen voor verenigingen, vrouwenorganisaties etc.

Projects are characterized by a start and an end date.
Projects are notified by the fam. De Gier in Port au Prince. In consultation is decided whether a proposed project sill be financed. Evelien de Gier ‘keeps the finger on the pulse’ and ensures regular accountability.
Often, the start of a Haitian project is a reason to start campaigns in the Netherlands and to ask certain target groups for extra attention. For example, school benches are produced in Haiti, the funding of which takes place through school campaigns in the Netherlands.
Projecthulp Haiti also provides information at schools. In consultation with teachers and parents (Commission) an action plan is drawn up to ensure some lessons about Haiti are given in the week prior to the campaign.
For primary education, a distinction is made in under, middle and superstructure. For intermediate vocational education and higher vocational education, a targeted programme is created in consultation.
In addition, Projecthulp Haiti holds lectures for associations, women's organisations etc.
